"When we can be centered in ourselves, even for brief periods of time in the face of the pull of the outer world, not having to look elsewhere for something to fill us up or make us happy, we can then be at home wherever we find ourselves, at peace with things as they are, moment by moment"
--Jon Kabat-Zinn

This simple test is based on one's ability to embrace some of the basic principles of Inner-Peace. It is not meant to be comprehensive, but merely suggestive. Cultivating Inner-Peace is a way of life and it is a choice. Inner-Peace resides in everyone. It is an awareness that there is a calm center within you that lives in a constant state of grace, acceptance, and love for all there is. We need only to take the time out of our busy lives to honor our peaceful moments. We literally need to "practice peace." In this way, we reconnect with our own divinity. When we bring peace to ourselves, we bring peace to the world.

Some suggestions for taking this quiz.
  • Answer honestly without much hesitation. Your first response is your true response. Thinking too much about it will dilute the results.
  • All questions pertain to what is happening right now in your life. Do not draw from the past or project into the future.
  • It is best to take this quiz in a relaxed state.
  • Breathe and begin.

After this, please click on one of the Ten Symptoms Of Inner Peace links below. Take the time to figure out how and where you could make different choices to implement more of these peace principles into your life.

Always:
Congratulations! You are a person that embodies the Ten Symptoms Of Inner Peace and understands the duality of human nature. You can easily assimilate both the complex and simple concepts needed to experience peace at any given moment in life. In short, this means that you live in the NOW, letting go of the past and not worrying about the future. It is clear that you have chosen Inner-Peace as a way of life. Because of this, you are able to stay centered and calm within the "knowing" part of yourself. This ability puts you in the position to teach and lead others in the ways of peace.

Most of The Time:
Cheers to you! You are on the 80/20 inner-peace plan. This is a very healthy, reasonable, and conscious choice. What this means is that 80% of the time you are able to easily live by the Ten Symptoms Of Inner Peace, because you aspire naturally towards them. The other 20% of the time, you are working on it and you are aware that you are working on it. You are a person who enjoys learning and growing. With your conscientious mind and open heart, you are able to see and feel when you are disharmonious with your peaceful center. Read the description under the "Always" category and see how you might incorporate the principles mentioned there into your life.

Sometimes:
Stop and smell the roses! It is likely that you are on the continuum somewhere between the 20/80 and the 40/60 inner-peace program, which means that 20 to 40 percent of the time you feel reasonably peaceful. Whatever the percentage may be, you are working primarily with the "concept" of inner-peace more than the actuality of it. Meaning, you think about obtaining it more than just allowing yourself to experience it. This gap can be closed by making a conscious choice to "embody peace" by allowing your heart to open. With an open heart you can feel what it feels like to be calm, centered and at peace. Once you have the experience of that peaceful feeling you will begin to seek it out because you will naturally want more of it. Review the Ten Symptoms Of Inner Peace every morning and put them into daily practice.

Rarely:
Time to get to work! You need to go into a 30-day peace rehab program right away. I suggest enlarging the Ten Symptoms Of Inner Peace to poster size and putting it in a spot where you are able to read it several times a day. In addition, choose one inner-peace symptom and practice it all day or all week long until you get it, then move on to the next until you have completed all ten. There is no time like the present to start allowing more love and peace into your life. Ask yourself this question: "Why have I chosen to keep inner-peace at a distance?" After you answer this honestly, then sit with the feelings it brings up in you. When you feel complete with that, then let those feelings go-forever. Now it is time to make another choice. Choose "peace" in that moment and then "peace" will choose you.
